One comparison · not a CDP roundup
Pushwoosh + RevenueCat — an alternative for indies
Pushwoosh is a full push platform: audiences, in-app, journeys, the RevenueCat integration as one more trigger. FixMySub is narrower on purpose. Cancel and billing recovery only — RevenueCat webhook, the FCM you already have, pay when it recovers. If you already live in a messaging suite, stay there. If you only need “RC said the card failed → tell the user,” this is the smaller tool.

Pushwoosh is for
- Onboarding, campaigns, and lifecycle beyond billing.
- Teams that want a dedicated push product with its own analytics.
- Apps already wiring RevenueCat → Pushwoosh as one of several destinations.
FixMySub is for
- Indie / small-team apps on RevenueCat with no messaging suite.
- CANCELLATION and BILLING_ISSUE → FCM / email, then stop on renewal.
- You keep your existing FCM; you do not buy another push cloud.
Honest split
| Job | Pushwoosh | FixMySub |
|---|---|---|
| Primary job | Push / in-app / campaigns | Cancel + billing recovery |
| RevenueCat | Official integration / events as campaign triggers | Webhook only: CANCELLATION, BILLING_ISSUE, EXPIRATION |
| Mobile SDK | Their SDK for push & in-app | None. Your FCM + REST register |
| Who it messages | Any audience you build | Users you registered, on churn events |
| PRODUCT_CHANGE | You can campaign on it | Ignored — not a recovery trigger |
| Analytics suite | Yes, that’s the product | No. Recovered count and $ only |
| Best fit | Growth team with a messaging roadmap | Indie on RC without a CDP |
We are not ranking Braze, OneSignal, or Iterable here. Those are the same category as Pushwoosh: full messaging. If RC already streams into one of them, adding FixMySub is optional, not required.
Pricing shape
Push platforms
Usually MAU, push volume, or a suite seat. You pay for the channel whether or not a subscriber comes back.
FixMySub
First recovery free. Then EUR plans on monthly recovery attempts (€9 / 100, €19 / 300, €39 / 800, €99 unlimited). Built so a quiet month costs a quiet plan — not a CDP contract.
FAQ
Is FixMySub a Pushwoosh competitor?
Only on a thin slice: “RevenueCat told me this subscriber is at risk — message them.” Pushwoosh is a general push and in-app platform. We do not try to replace campaigns, segmentation, or a notification inbox.
I already use Pushwoosh with RevenueCat. Should I switch?
Probably not. Keep the integration you have. FixMySub is for teams that do not want to stand up a messaging platform just to react to CANCELLATION and BILLING_ISSUE.
Do you send through Pushwoosh?
No. Push goes through the FCM credentials you upload. Email goes through FixMySub’s SendGrid. There is no Pushwoosh dependency.
Why not compare OneSignal, Braze, and Iterable too?
They are the same job as Pushwoosh: a messaging stack. One page against the RC+Pushwoosh pairing is enough. If you already pay for any of those, you do not need us for the send path.
